Does anyone know the stock rear bumper height on 71 cuda and where to measure from.
i wonder if the cuda uses the same body measurements as the challenger.got a laser that has auto level??? you can create some measured blocks..use some 1x2" you need the center line of the front and rear tires. you will need one to the center of the pinch weld on the K member you will need to create one that fits in position 4.. under the foot well.you will need one that gives you the center of the forward spring eye boltyou will need one that gives you the upper spring shackle bolt center.with these all lined up.. and the laser up 3 or 4 inches from the floor.. mark each one in place where the laser hits it.. you can add those and subtract those distances from the centerline of the wheels.. so you will find the K member parting line is 0.70 above the wheel centerline. you will find the under foot well 6.20 inches below the wheel centerline.you will find the forward spring eye bolt 5.00 inches below the wheel centerline.you will find the rear spring shackle upper bolt center 2.75" above the wheel centerline... the trick is here. are your front wheels and the rear wheels the same height at the centerline.. if you built these.. and since you have marked them all 3 or 4 inches up from the flat floor. you should be able to figure out if your body is within spec.. if your front tires are slightly shorter than the rears.. use some plywood squares under them to shim them up till they are level.. if they are close.. you can also lay a long straight 2x4 on edge and shim that to the center line of the wheels.. use a chalk line to get a straight line to measure fromnow you can compare the body.. even with the rear wheels larger..
