just put a new 60 amp alternator in 1969 roadrunner and am now showing discharge. what gives. also changed resistor and regulator. when discharge showed worked backwords and put back old resistor and old regulator and still showing discharge. any ideas

you did not mention which alternator system you have...

the earlier version with the mechanical voltage regulator...

if so.. lets talk about this i tossed together...

please verify that you have at least some kind of cable between the back of the cylinder heads and the firewall.. and that its properly connected..
