Ok so my plans changed on my build. The short block is a 360 .030 eagle rods and kb pistol 0 decked. The cam is Hughes solid lift pn HTL4852AS 106 LS IS 103 248 252 @.050 lift .563 .572. I was planning on using a set of fully ported eddys on this build but money changed and now I have to use a set of Mildly ported J's with 2.02 1.60 valves and 68cc chambers. The comp. Will be 10.1 to 1 using a 3200 stall converter 4.10 gears 27 inch tires in a 3100 Dakota. Will this combo be lazy or over cammed without the good heads? What do yall think? And how much HP&TQ do you think it will make? Oh ya im running a air gap intake and 750hp DP carb. Thanks for your opinions!
If it's what you can afford, don't worry about it, run it. It's more cam than you have cylinder head lift. But, if you have retainer to seal clearance, go for it. I highly doubt it will be lazy.
It would at least run 13's wouldn't it?
Should have no problem hitting the 11's after tuning.
Traction among other things will be a problem.,. once you hit 12 flat in the 1/4, you must have a roll cage.Realisticly.,. I'd shoot for high 12's/low 13's.Best of luck.
