I have purchased a set of Crane Cams rocker arm for sbm, part # 69791-1. Ever since I have had these on my race engine, I have had to readjust them after every 2 or 3 1/8 mile passes. I have replaced the adjuster screws and nuts several time still same problem. No matter how much they are tightened they back off . Any suggestion would be helpful. I am tired of spending money to fix what gets screwed up by this happening. Confused

If you have a flat tappet cam make sure the cam is not going flat.
Also, make sure the pushrods are not rubbing in the pushrod holes.

I am running a solid roller now, previous cam was a solid flat tappet. No push rods are touching or rubbing.

I went on Cranes website and here is what I found.

All 64-91 LA 273thru360 With mechanical lifters and adjustable Rockers. You need their heat treated  5/16th heavy wall push rods. P/N 69622-16.
Stock Length
Overall length is 7.455. If you are adjusting one or 2 rockers more then the others I would pull a couple push rods, and check them for anything that may look different. The cups worn, the bottom is mushrooming, or they are bending. Hope this helps. It can be frustrating for sure.
