Anyone know if the M1 single plane intake is the same height in the 4500 series carb flange version as the 4150??

Did you look it up or maybe even Google search or call the mfgr. for the actual dimensions... give that a try

Budnicks you dog. You don't have one of each setting on a shelf? I have the 4150 manifold, anyone have the 4500 and we can compare?

I called the Mp tech line they had no definate answer either. They're going to get ahold of a dealer that has 1 to measure. I have the standard 1 also but I want to run a 1050 dominator if I can without hitting my hood

No, I don't have any M1 manifolds lying around, I have never even tried 1, I have used Indy, Edelbrock Perf. RPM, Edelbrock Victor, MP Six Pack, old Edelbrock Tarantula TM7 {I think it was}, Edelbrock STR-15 w/2x4bbls & 6bbl tops, Fowler modified Edelbrock Tunnel ram with a Enderle Bug or Bird catcher Hat FI, Crower FI, Mert Littlefield Blower & Manifolds among others on low deck blocks...  I usually would also use a 1"-2" tapered 4 hole or open spacer & heat shield on almost all my single 4bbl manifolds & not under too many stock hoods either... I did notice that on Summit Racing web site they list the Dominator 4500 version of the M1 being 3500-8000rpm range, while they list the Square bore 4150 version of the M1 being 2600-7200rpm range... that would lead me to believe the Dominator 4500 version is taller for the higher RPM range, but that's just a wild a$$ guess...

I'm trying to keep this street legal . They're getting pretty sticky up here about hood heights. I'm thinking the power range changed cause of the change in carb/ air volume....hopefully.
