i have a 77 440.  i have a friend that said if i turn the pistons (not the rod) around backwards that it will add horsepower to my motor.  i want to get you guy's opinion or comments before i try this.

If you want more power and are willing to remove the pistons. Throw them away and bore the engine .030 and get some compresson.


Turning the pistons around is old school, and can create piston rattle, not recommended. especially on a used engine.
