P-15 with Handicap option

I have a friend who has a 1948Plymouth business coup with what is referred to as a "handicap option", which is a Dodge 230 cuin flat head six and a fluid drive transmission. I don't know the engine or body number of this car, however I would like to know how to verify that this is factory equipment. I would also like to know if anyone knows any thing about this optoin or if anyone knows of any other similarly equipped P-15 cars (1946-1949 first phase Plymouths). For all we know, this could be the last one in existence. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
