What crank journal is it and does it run all the way from crank to cam?? If its in an oil passage from the crank to the cam but is not very long you can drill the passage passed the crack and drive a piece copper tubing in the passage then trim it flush with the main bearing saddle and remove any burrs, this will sill the oil passage and stop the pressure drop. Just don't build a 800Hp monster from a wounded block, 500Hp or so should be ok. I have a friend who found an old 426 wedge hipo block in a scrap metal yard that had the same problem. He used this same process to repair it. He built a real screemer out of it and ran it for four or five years in a drag only dart before a catastrophic engine failure took its life but he was probably only running 650 or 700Hp maybe a little more.
