I LOVE the weiand single plane. it has the widest powerbands of any ive seen,on the 454 the guy wanted more top end and was using the weiand singleplane 7513 intake and wanted to switch over to a victor,so I did. what he got was less torque off the line and no improvement on the topend whatsoever. when I say less off the line I mean when this car with the weiand 7513 on it did a burnout thru the gears til it started fishtailing. folks would pull off the road cause you couldnt see the road .haha that single plane was rated from 2200 rpm to 7300 rpm and flat out smoked the victor on bottom and top end.  heck ,with the right converter or a 4 speed these single planes will blow a dual plane off the road and still have great driveability.I ended up reinstalling the old weiand and took the new victor as a barter but on the victor it didnt have the vacuum line in the rear of the intake near the carb drilled so I had to drill it and tap it to make it work.but the guy was cool so I let it slide, but dang, after test driving the car after the switch I wanted the old weiand cause it was just a flat out bad a.. screamer now I got the new victor just sittin in wait..ps, this was a 4 speed car,..700 mech with rollers, big valves 026 118 chamber LS-6 heads, unported. it had the rpm capabilities but the weiand flat out blew it away at the bottom and at the top
