Alright,i've just about had it with this thing!

I traded a 1987 chvy pck-up straight across for a really kick-ass 66 dart convertible.[never even seen one before]

bought a crate motor for it[360]and had it pumped up to just over 400h.p.also bought a 727 with a shift kit and a 2500 stall converter to go behind it.

so i stab the combo and the $200.00 set of headers that i spent $800 on to fit the 318/904 that was in the thing wont fit because of the hump on the side of the 727!

whats the answer here?do i hack up the fenderwells of my perfect car ?do i spend another $800 to modify again?who makes headers for this car?shorty block huggers?manifolds?or do i dare go back to craprolets?

someone help me,theres got to be a way!

I HAVE A 65 DART CONVERTIBLE  GOING TO PUT  A 340 WITH 94 MAGINUM HEADS . CALLED DOUG'S HEADERS AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY CAN MAKE HEADERS FOR IT (NOT FENDER WALL) FOR $900.00.  THEY WANTED AN EXHAUST GASKET FOR MATCHING THE PORTS TO THE MAGIMUN HEADS

Biginch,

Another option would be to get one of those do-it-yourself kits that has 2 flanges, 2 collectors, and all kinds of straight and pre-bent lengths of tubing. All you do is cut and tack together each piece to make your own headers then pull them out and weld them all up. If you don't know how to weld, you can have a welder come to your place, they're pretty reasonably priced. I think Hooker makes the kits.

Good luck with your project and remember this; if it was easy, everybody would be doing it and your car wouldn't be unique! You'll have a nice piece when your finished. Can't wait to see the pics posted here. I hope this was a help to you.
