I am wondering what will be a better intake for a 318. I am stuck between the M1 single plane, the Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap (unsure of the hoodclearance on this one), or one of the Victor series from Edelbrock (unsure which one yet). I plan to get aluminum heads for it, which will probably be Edelbrock. I want a good street/strip setup. Thanks for the advice.

The intake you need depends in what you do to your engine, compression ratio, cam grind, headers and so no. The M1 and Victor are better for higher RPM the performer RPM is good from idle to around 6500 RPM.

For a 318 you want a 318 performer intake good from 0-5500 rpm if its a street car.
