Will a Cuda' Shaker hood work on a 73' Challenger? Or would I have to alter a Challenger hood to use a Shaker? I am someone out there will have the knowledge that I am looking for and trying to gain.
Thanks

You can buy kits to put a cuda shaker scoop into your hood. It comes with a template to show you how to cut out a spot along with the little bevelled edge that you insert into the cutout to make it look professional. I think these kits are kind of expensive tho and I dont know where you could get one. I saw it in HOT ROD magazine so I would email them to see where they got it.

Well currently I have a Ralley hood. So a kit for my hood isnt an option. I would have to find another hood anyway so I was just curious which kind to start looing for. Thanks for the information.

The Cuda Hood has different dimensions than the Challenger hood so you will need to find a flat Challenger hood and modify it (the kits run about $800 to add the trim ting, etc.) Be cautious, I bought a challenger shaker hood that was modified and found out it had warped, so it was junk, or you could wait a few months and purchase a fiberglass Challenger shaker hood from AAR quality fiberglass. They a set to start producing them in February for less than $500. I have seen the cuda shaker hood that they make and they are very nice quality and should not warp like the old *** AAR hoods Chrysler made in 1970.
