in the Feb issue of mopar muscle there was an artical about using late model spindles on A bodys. it said that these parts could be used in place of the E body/74 and up A body spindles. and I had heard that I could swap out the drum spindles on 1965 and 1967 B bodys with E body disc spindles...so, does this mean I could instead use the late model disc set? if anyone has any ideas on this please let me know. thanx

If your not looking to be origanel go get a Wilwood disk brake conversion kit from Jegs. The kit comes complete with new hubs that will bolt to drum spindles plus it comes in 4 piston calipers for about $650 front and $600 rear. I have them on my 69 Charger and have no problem stopping with trap speeds at 130 mph in the 1/4 mile in 10.12 seconds. You will need to get a new master cylender from jegs in their mopar section along with a bolt convertion kit to change from the old master cylender to the new one thats if your current master cylender has a 4 bolt pateren.

Gopar, you can use any knuckle from 1962 to 1978 on your B body cars. The best ones to use would be the 1973 or newer A body disc brake knuckles but those are getting a little harder to find these days. The disc knuckles that are still fairly common to find would be the later model FMJ car knuckles. Those are the cars with the bent bar front suspensions and the wrecking yards around here are full of them. Look for 5th Ave, Diplomat, etc. Those cars will have the smaller 10.78 diameter rotors on them but those knuckles will accept the larger 11.75 rotors if you can find the taller caliper brackets.
