Let me start by saying that the vehicle in question is a 1999 Dakota R/T with 71K miles on the ticker. It has a few minor mods such as a Mopar PCM, K&N FIPK, Flowmaster exhaust, etc.., As of late, the tranny seems to be acting up a bit. It seems as if I give minimal throttle from a stop, it shifts from 1-2 perfectly fine but the 2-3 shift is a bit askewed. The rpm's continue to climb and it doesn't want to shift. If I remove my foot from the gas, it will end up upshifting and then I can drive as normal. If I give it increased throttle from a stop, it will shift through all the gears just fine as if nothing is wrong. On the highway, vehicle runs perfectly with no hint of problems at all. No check engine lights are on or have been on since I have owned this vehicle. A few people have said to reset the pcm but that hasn't worked. Others have said it sounds like a sensor or some other "minor" problem. Anyone have problems such as this or have any input?

Take it to the transmissiom shpo and have the fluid and filter changed and the bands adjusted, if you keep running it like it is you will burn it up.

I'd imagine that having the bands adjusted is a heck of alot cheaper than doing a tranny rebuild if it ever went that far. Hopefully attacking the problem now will solve it rather than letting it go on causing more damage. Thanks.
