I want to start circle track racing and wanted to start in the 4 cylinder bomber class and move up to mini stock in a year or two. I want to find a bomber that I can use as the build up for my mini stock and most mini stock rules do not allow FWD and limit the engine size to 2.3ltr. This combo gives Ford the advantage and you do not see many Mopars in this division. I want to know which platform would be the best to use....Daytona converted to RWD? or find a rare early 80's Challenger? or use a truck such as the D50 or Dakota? or do I dare say....use a Mustang chasis and Mopar powerplant? I am limited in money, mechanical ability and a proper race shop so I need to find the easiest platform to work with. Second question is which engine? 2.2 or a destroked 2.5. Is there any difference between the two? [it would be nice to have the LA based 4 cylinder race engine made to order!] Thanks Bill
