I have a 472 c.u. hemi with the new cross-ram manifold and hemi carbs.  I am trying to find out why they are jetted so differently.  The driver's side is jetted 80's, but the passenger side has 80 and 85.  I have base lined the engine and now have to begin to tune the jetting, and need to know what is going on with the factory setting.

The reason the jetting is all over the place is because of the poor fuel distrubution inside the intake..  I suggest you get ahold of the chrysler high performance books. Once you read about the crossram You will understand. If You have new carbs, they came with the correct jetting for the crossram.

The new crossram intakes are only worth 5 to 10 horsepower over the old crossrams. My crossram to tunnel ram conversion is far superior.
