Wanting to use a Comp Cam, 305H, in a 383 with head casting 3462346.
This cam has a .525 lift. I understand the piston to valve clearances but my question is if these heads will handle a lift of .525? Assume using stock length valves and stock size guilds.
Tks

Yes, The heads should handle 525 lift, especially since it's only a 383ci, if it were a 440, I would have it ported and larger valves, etc.

It depends on your springs, if you run double springs you will need to have some work done on the spring seats and you should have the guides cut for seals and shortened, better safe then sorry.

all you need are springs that can hold the lift, the castings dont matter all springs are the same for B and RB heads. contact summit racing 800-230-3030 tell them the lift of your cam and they'll send you some springs, for a price.
