there are a ton of headers that will work with little moving of some stock components and putting them back in place.

The headers should fit. I believe the only reason they list them 'till '81 is because of emmisions. Should still be an M-Body and no difference. Call them up and ask, can't hurt.

When we did our Stealth Bomber Project, we used a set of tti E- and B-Body headers. Since the torsion bar isn't in the typical parallel configuration, they fit fine. I would THINK that any E- and B-Body header would fit.

Well the headers are on and fit pretty well, I am going to have to run a mini starter, while I think it might be possible to get the factory monster to physically clear I think the headache if I ever need to remove it is enough to make me shell out the little sum for a mini starter, also I used some high heat shielding tape to protect the power steering line on top of the steering box as it's kind of close there like within 2 inches other than that the worst part of the whole project was removing the emissions tubes on the stock manifolds to get all the old stuff out, now I'm waiting for the summit 3" collector reducers and universal H pipe kit to get here. I'm going to run the H pipe as close to the header collectors as possible and then run glasspack type mufflers back and have a slant cut tail pipe exit on both sides in front of the rear wheels. Hope this helps anyone thinking about doing this to their M-Body Mopar

How did the headers fit at the driver-side? Thinking about the clearance between the power-stearing and the headers. And what partnumber is the ministarter? Any reply is much appriciated. I`v been searching for headers for this car for over a year now. Thinking about "thight truck" headers, but never heard about anyone using them on M-Bodys.
Thanks.

i was gonna try them on my ramcharger, but may sell them.
i fitted them before i had them ceramic coated.i went to
a hooker 5115.only had to rework one pipe on them.you can
e-mail me at POLISHAVIATOR@YAHOO.COM if you want.i've been playing with this cross torsion bar car for about 10 years now.i'd be glad to help with anything since i've
most likely already run into the problem.

Instead of buying a high dollar mini starter, just go to a Advance or AutoZone parts store and ask for a starter for a mid 90's 318 starter for a truck or van. These are small starters and should give you plenty of room.
