67 GTX Quarter help

Does anyone know if there were any different rear quarter configurations for a 67 GTX? I just purchased a project running roller that looks great, and the rear quarters look factory other than the light rust. There is actually about 2 1/2 -3 inches worth of clearance above the rear tire. And the factory lines follow up and around the wheel housing. I think they were fabbed. But I guess ya never know, and I wouldnt want to ruin something different.
