FOR SALE:

1968 426 cu. in. Dodge HEMI engine out of red 4-speed 1968 Dodge HEMI Charger R/T (VIN XS29J8B434717). Cylinder block casting date 1-15-68. Short block assembled on 4-17-68. Engine completely assembled on 4-26-68 (MV42624640010).

Original title engine came out of included. Whereabouts of car unknown. Find the car and you have the foundation for restoring an original 1968 HEMI Charger R/T with numbers matching engine and trans.

Engine was rebuilt in 1987 and has approximately 2000 street miles on it. It has been in storage since 1988. I would prefer to sell my Hemi to someone who needs the right casting number engine for his Hemi car.

Also included with engine:

Original numbers matching HEMI 4-speed transmission (disassembled).

Original HEMI K-frame from above car.

I don't have the numbers matching 3.54 Dana 60 rear that the car came with. I (unfortunately) sold it back in the early 1980s. However, I do have a B-body Dana 60 rear end assembly out of a 1970 440 Six-Pack Superbee.  The rear axle assembly is completely rebuilt with new Trac Loc differential and new Richmond 4.56 ring and pinion. All new pinion, differential and axle bearings, and oil seals.

Original Dana 60 Power Lock differential w/4.10 ring and pinion from above included.

(2) 1970 HEMI 4-speed transmissions out of two different 1970 GTX's. One needs new input shaft.

One freshly rebuilt complete, ready to drop in, carb-to-oil pan with alternator, pulleys, fan, etc. as pulled out from car:

1968 440 cu. in. engine (cylinder block casting date 9-25-68) with 11.5:1 TRW pistons, Speed Pro 1/16" single moly piston rings, cylinder block decked -.030" and overbored +.030" and honed w/torque plate, Six Pack connecting rods w/ARP 3/8" dia. rod bolts and nuts, .555" lift/260 deg. Competition Cams mechanical camshaft w/Crane roller rockers and shafts, Mazzolini Racing blue anodized aluminum rocker shaft holddowns, Moroso 8 quart oil pan with 1/2" HEMI-style oil pickup tube, Mopar Performance high volume oil pump, Mopar Performance hardened tip oil pump/distributor drive shaft, 2.14"/1.81" over-sized valves, etc.

Also, included with engine: Fresh A-727 Torqueflite transmission w/Turbo Action full-manual valve body, hi-performance TCI rebuild kit, Mopar Performance deep transmission pan and 5.0 HEMI kickdown lever. Approximately 50 street miles on engine and trans, i.e. only break-in miles.

and:

Completely disassembled-to-the-body shell F-6 Medium Green w/white horizontal body stripe, two-tone green interior, w/power windows 1968 Plymouth GTX (VIN RS23L6A301755), left and right outside rear view mirrors, motivated by a 440 Super Commando/A-727 Torqueflite combo which I no longer have the time, funds, desire and (and never had the facilities) to correctly restore and reassemble. Car has fairly major rust (trunk floor, quarters, etc. typical New Jersey car). However, frame rails are in very good shape.

Plus miscellaneous B-body parts (mostly small stuff) collected since mid-1970s.

All the above is being sold as a package deal--I WILL NOT SEPARATE. $25,000 dollars takes it all away!*

Regards,

Pete
