When performing an engine swap from a 318 to a 413 on a '68 Dodge Charger, do I need to have heavy duty shocks and torsion bars?

The car is also set up with 4-wheel drum manual and I'm looking for information on disc conversions or setups for the big block stopping needs.  Do you know where I can get this information?

Thanks!

I think the hosting magazine has info on brake and engine swaps.

Upgrading to thicker T-bars is nice. The stock ones for smaller engines will transfer weight to the rear better, not to great for grocery getter cars. Better shocks are good. I don't ever remember hearing about big block shocks or /6 shocks before. But new KYB's for example are a wonderful thing to upgrade to.

If you plan to drag race the car you don't need to change the bars. Matter of fact the car will be faster with the small block bars. The real important things to change are the rear end and rear springs. The 71/4 rear and light waight springs can't handle the power of a big block. But if you want the car to handle good on the street change to bars also.
I've been building and drag racing big block mopars sense 1963.
And one thing I have learned is that an 83/4 mopar rear is stonger than a ford 9". And it will take anything a dana 60 will for less money.
