The answer to the question you asked on page 130 of your September 2006 issue about the whereabouts of the cammer Hemi I can tell you that it is not in a car but stored away in a basement. It is all apart and has all the exhaust valve tapett guide plates on both heads split. It has never been fired on gasoline, it was only artificially driven on an engine dyno looking for possible problems in the valve train. It has one black valve cover and one cast aluminum valve cover with a plastic window made into it to watch the valvetrain work as it works. They would use a strobe light set slower than the engine rpm to watch the valvetrain in slow motion and see where it might be binding. The heads are rellay big to fit both cams and four valves per cyclinder.

Russ, of Indy Cylinder Heads probably still has the engine. He had it on display at a Mopar trade show in Indianapolis a few years ago.

I heard of these engines years ago . The article said that Chrysler went looking for them in there store room and they mysteriously disappeared. If I remember right there was two or three of them. Any ways if you have one or know someone who has one send me a picture ,Id like to see it. old1 elliscollect@msn.com
