Hello;

I am in the process of up-grading our 65 Coronet 500. The first thing I am addressing is the power brakes. All of a suddend they will not pump up and the pedal always remains on the floor, almost. They work but there is about 1 inch of play between being off or all on. Not much in between. Also the engine that came with th car seems pretty healthy, Lump------Lump. I checked the vacume at the base of the carb at 800 RPM and it is at about 10-12 inches. I did notice when I changed distributors there was a purple color on the cam gear. I got the car with 11" rears and 10" fronts.

Now here is what I would like to toss out and that is I am planning on going to manual brakes and am wondering if there is an ajustable rod available for the conversion?

Also, I am looking at a Ceramic Braking System offered by by "Praise Dyno Brake". This is my first full hands on tear down project in  30 plus years and therefore am taking it slow on the $ and skipping disk brakes at the moment. I was woundering if anyone has used this company or ceramic brake binders in general?

Any information will be fully appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ramcharger
