i have purchased a new set of heavy duty leaf springs for a 1969 dodge charger.  i noticed that one spring has an extra plate or leaf.  i was told this is correct but could not find out which side of the vehicle the spring with the extra plate goes on.

is anyone sure what side the extra plate goes on?

I would call Summit Racing Eqiupment's customer service hotline at 1-800-517-1035.  Those guys are there 24-7, and have answers to all sorts of technical questions.  Because they sell the same type of leaf springs you ordered, they should be able to hook you up.  

The extra leaf goes on the passenger side.  There should be seven on the passenger side and six on the driver.  The passenger side is where all the torque goes, pushing down on the driver's side because there is one less leaf.
