Mopar Fans: I have just viewed the 2008 Dodge Challenger Concept Car. It is Awsome! There are many web sites with pics of it or you can look at the February 2006 issue of Motor Trend. The car resembles the 1970 Challenger in most ways and has a 6.1 Hemi and also talk of using the 6.4 (392 Hemi -510HP/510 FT Lbs) and a base model with a 280 HP V-6. Chrysler is also talking about a Cuda as well. The bean counters have realized the mustang is a huge success (They sold about 200,000 in 2005) If mopar sells just 60,000 Challengers at average price of $22,000 they would have sales of more than $1.3 Billion. The Challenger would probably range from $22,000-32,000 in price, depending on engine package, etc. The new Chrysler Chief is Red Blooded American and loves the Mopar Muscle cars of "Day's Past". Chrysler has realized the Charger was a bust and wants to be redeemed in the American public's eyes. (By the way I have also seen pics of a possible 2 door Charger due out by 2008. It looks much like 70 Charger from the rear). If you want this Challenger & Cuda to be a reality.... We need to unite and express our opinions to Chrysler corp at their web site (They have a question/comment section). They do listen to people, especially if enough express the same opinion, here are the instructions: 1) Go to following Link: Chrysler.com 2) Go to bottom right side of page and click: (contact us) 3) Scroll to bottom of page and click I need customer Assistance) "They allow you to voice concerns about products here". 4) Click (send us and e-mail) These are the following Suggestions I had for Dodge 1) Move the Challenger name badge from the back fender to the front fender. 2) option of a Gull-wing on back trunk lid styled after the 70-71 E-body wing, 3) Flip-top gas cap 4) Pistol Grip shifter with 5-6 speed manual transmission. 5) Shaker hood option 6) Retro-style ralley wheel option. 7) Get rid of the telemetry guage on instrument panel in favor of a nice analog-quartz clock. 8) Have a radio with blue illumination instead of the orange illumination (Blue goes better with the interior colors).
