OK; well after searching for a year; I finally found a good ol' classic for a good price, so I'm jumpin in feet first and starting a project on a car I purchased yesterday on EBay........a sweet little 65' Dart GT. She's so smoooooth! Barely any rust at all. Both rear quarters will need replacement, but the trunk floor, floor pans, etc. seem pretty clean. The guy sent me bunches of pictures of all the possible rust areas I could think of; and so I went ahead with the deal. Now it's time to find a trailer to rent/buy (I've heard of the nightmares auto transport companies seem to be prevolent in). Anyway; it's 800 miles away from me. She's a daily driver with a slant 6 and an automatic. My plan is to restore; and then drop a sweet 360 crate in her with a 904. Maybe in the long run...a bracket car....maybe just a sweet cruisin "show and shiner". Anyway; I just wanted to share my news. Although I'm new to this forum; I plan on using it often for advice and just to share the news. Thanks guys!

I can imagine the anxiety buying car that far away from your home. I just recently purchased a '70 Challenger in about the same shape as your car I am just getting into it.I am pleased at how complete the car is as far as sheet metal, interior, glass, running gear, etc.

I am putting a 440 into it w/727,looking for tri carb setup. It will be cool when I get it all together.

I just finished a '73 Z28 Camaro, and we are showing it this summer,so far it has done very well. It's a lot of fun going to the local shows, meet a lot of great people and see some great cars.Hope you have a good one,I'm sure you'll have fun.

Hey thanks for the post. Yeah; it's a bit stressful trying to get a classic home, but well worth it in the long run! That Challenger will be SWEEEET!
