Hello everyone, new to the forums, not new to the hobby but I have been out of it for 6-7 years or so.I recently stumbled upon an out of the way junkyard that I thought might have promise. Long story short I discovered right up front what I thought was a 1969 Satellite and a 1968 Roadrunner. Both bodies were shells with the 68 missing front K frame and rear end. 1969 is missing less, but both are missing engine and tranny as well. I get home and decode the VIN numbers and turns out they are both 440 - 4 bbl GTX's. I guess my question is as bad as I want to save both these bodies, in the long run is it really worth it? They will never be matching number's resto's, they will likely both be years in the making. But I have never come across 1 much less 2 GTX's sitting in a junkyard where they could both be had for cheap. Really torn here...I was looking for a 68 Charger. =)Thoughts?
GET THEM!!!!!!! Dont look back and say I could have had those but they went to the crusher! Wake up and smell the tires frying dude. I have let some nice cars go by before just cause I didnt stop to see if they would sell. If you could sell one to help finance the other, that is a step in the right direction. If i would have listened to a few people that said my car(73 chally) couldnt be had, I would have not gotten it.
