i know a guy that says he has an all orig 1970 dart swinger that has a 440 in it everything i have found says all that was offered was a 340 is he right or am i right help would be greatly appreciated

They never came from the factory with 440s in them.

Unless it was a Grand Spalding Dodge car. They would order everything needed to convert a car to a 440 and do the swap at the dealership. These were sold as new original vehicles. If it happens to be one these vehicles, it is worth a fortune.
