guys i have a 1965 belvedere 2 needs motor the salvage yard near me has 2 motors a 1972 413 from a motorhome and a 1965 383 from a dodge 880 both have about 30000 miles on them both are $800 which is better and why

Tuff to kill an old 413 but it will be lacking horsepower coming from a motorhome.
Same holds true for the 65 383, small valved heads, neither are an ideal bolt in without throwing some serious money at them.
Bottom line, if you want to go big block go 440 it will only cost a couple bucks more in the end.
