Hello,

I'm a rookie builder dropping a 360-->408 stroker rebuild in a 67 barracuda.  My problem is tie rod issues bumping the back of the milodon street-strip pan (front sump) before lock.  Any easy remedies?  I've already flipped the rod over, gaining about a half inch. but it still bangs. moroso's 10.5" deep pan is out of the question due to ride height issues.  I plan a later a-body spindle swap later for disk conversion.  Where should I go from here?  Thanks for your help.

also, speaking of the later a body spindle swap: that or scarebird's 90-91 chevy celebrity conversion kit--any feedback from anyone who's done that one???  thx again!

Chiro, I'm runnig the Milo pan on my '67 Valiant, and have no issues. When you say the tie rod hits, are you referring to the actual inner tie rod, or the center link that the two inner tie rods connect to? Was your car a Slant Six car originally? If it was a Slant Six car, you may have to swap out the center link for a V-8 piece.

As far as the Scarebird stuff, never tried it.
