I have a 1971 Dodge Challenger with a 318 SB and I want to convert to a 440 BB. I have a complete motor and transmission.  The transmission is a 727.  It came out a 1967 Imperial with less than 60,000 miles on it. What problems do you see with this swap? What I items do I need to replace? and where can I find the parts? Does the K member work with both transmission? Should I put shorties or longs for exhaust?
Please help me out!!

Thanks

Well it will be tight and the biggest issue will be the headers. ive got Hooker Super comps and we had to bend them to clear the steering shaft and the inner fender. other than that its mostly good. the motor mounts are the same and its the same length drive shaft and everything so that'll all be good. But there is a possibility that the K-member will hit the sump. It did on mine with the front sump pan and a rear sump pan got in the way of the steering center link so look at your car and measure everything and you might need to get a center sump. I think they'relike $100 from JEGS. btw i swapped out a 360 SB for a 440 RB in a 1974 Satellite.
