c-body upgrades?

I've got a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham with a 440 that I'd like to fix up for my mom(its her car). I don't have the tools or knowledge to fabricate things on my own so I was wondering if anyone makes upgraded parts for the C body to help increase its performance? Example: upgraded brake kits, suspension upgrades for handling, etc. I'm looking to stroke the 440 out to 505 and then build the top end like a Max Wedge and I just want to know the car will be able to handle it.
