I just bought this car for $500 ban waiting a few months to do it needs a lot of cosmetic work but runs great. Has a 318 auto you cant see from the pics but the top is jacked up and I think I am going to take it off along with the chrome trim on the side and paint it white this winter and do new rims and tires ( black steel rims and red line tires like the 440 six packs had ) I would love to locate a fiber glass 6 pack hood but don’t think any one makes hoods for the fury. Just ordered a Mopar Performance fuel pump 80 GPH cuz the old one in not pumping enough fuel hope its not too much for the little 2 barrel on it. Later I hope to do an Edelbrock intake and a Q jet with block huger headers and an HEI but right now I am just concerned about making it look good cuz I am going to have to start driving it to college. The body is pretty straight I got a pretty good deal I think. Will see how cheep I can keep the whole build so far I have $113 in to it in the filter and pump so $613 so far. Planning on trying to do paint and tires for around $2000 next quarter if all goes well.

Great comfortable cars, the 318 is a little under powered for the big ride. However it should get reasonable fuel economy. I would stay away from the Q-Jet and install a holley 600 with vac. secondaries. HEI is a GM term, you probably have electronic ign. on the car, if not you can by a kit from Mopar Performance for cheap. It comes with the Dist. control box, ballast resistor and the wiring harness. Since you are a college student I would keep the performance upgrades to a minimum until you are working on a reg. basis. Clean it, paint it and drive it. Doc

'69s didn't come stock with electronic ignition. So that would be a great upgrade to make if someone hasn't already done it.

Ya I know HEI is a GM trade mark I am going to be getting a GM distributor that has ban made to fit the 318 a few people make them so I can run a GM cap rotor and ignition module. Will also be getting a bracket from advanced adapters that will allow me to swap out the big heavy generator for an alternator from a Toyota four runner the 4runers alternator kicks out I think 100 amps apposed to the generators 60 so I can install a good stereo and it takes a little weight off the front of the car. I will get the part # for the distributor so you can see what I am talking about summit and jegs both carry them.
On another note dose any one know if fury I and fury II tail lights will fit my fury III I was looking for new tail lights cuz my drivers side is broke and noticed the fury I and II lights I found did not have any chrome platting on them and it looked a little cleaner.

That distributor is a cool idea. Didn't know someone made them.

You can get them for almost any thing I have even seen them for the old air cooled Volkswagen motors they use every other post for there 4 cylinders I think this is going to be a great up grade but I have to wait about 3 more months before I do it.
