Hi, I'm new here and if I'm doing anything wrong please let me know. I'm looking for the best/strongest u-joints for the 8.75 differential with I believe the 7260 series joints? I have seen the Spicer and other joints out there but I'm looking for opinions on the best ones(brand, model # and where to buy). Thanks

Unless you have a full out drag car there is little to worry about when it comes to u-joints for the Mopar 7260 series. Just make sure the joint[s] have a greese fitting. Doc

Thanks. It is not a full out drag car but it is mildly modified 64 polara(400-500HP) with a manual that will see plenty of track time with sticky tires. I also was considering the non-greasable joints because they are not cross-drilled thinking that would be stronger. I'm not looking for the longest life out of them though I'm not opposed to it just looking for something that won't shatter when my wife launches at 3500Rpm and actually hooks up. Thanks again.

I have been using a set of HD greese fitted joints for the past 20 yrs. The car yanks the wheels on almost every pass it is a B-Body with 10" slicks, it has a 4000 stall converter and I have never had an issue with joints. Doc

Re: Best + "looking for the strongest" + plenty of track time with stickies, mopar small joint = 7260, large = 7290. a clutch car is harder on the drivetrain than a slushbox auto unless the auto has a transbake. grease fittings are for street cars. hey drmopar do u run a 7260 or7290? well cr500, run what u have, or if u are building why not go with the stronger choice? = 7290 or 1350 without grease fittings
