I've got an upgraded 318 in my 70 dart, mild cam, different cylinder heads and such, don't really know but its powerful as F**** attached to a 3 speed torqflight and an 8 3/4 rear end, not sure what gears are in it though. The car launches like crazy, but I can't seem to spin the tires, the rear tires are radial TA"S and should be able to just light up with my set up. Do I need to adjust the engine and transmission or am I looking at something else? The kick down band isn't hooked up right now which may be causing the problem but i don't know

If the kick down is not hooked up then you have low line pressure when you accelerate. This will burn out the clutchs so get it fixed before you do any serious driving. I don't know of to many 318's that can lite their tires up. However if the car launchs like crazy, why do you want to spin the tires? Guys that are spinning their tires are waisting time [e.t.] and *** [tires].

haha well this 318 isn't like most it picks the nose way up, ok when I get back I'll hook that up, how hard is it to adjust the kickdown band though?
