I have a 1970 B Body Coronet. Its currently sitting at a stock ride height. I was hoping to lower it a touch to give it a meaner stance. Can this be done by using drop spindles or what other options to I have that wont require major suspension alterations.

For the front end, unscrew the torsion bar adjusters until it's where you want it. There is a limit as to how far you can go. Of course the alignment will have to be re-adjusted after this. For the rear, shorter shackles can be used (sometimes). There are also blocks that can be installed between the leaf springs and the axles. Both of these can get you an inch or two of lowering. For more than that, yes, more drastic mods will be required.

How about drop spindles? Are those and option? So they offer those anywhere for the big B Bodies? How much is involved in putting something like 2 inch drop spindles on a car?

2" drop spindles and new A-arms are available from Magnumforce. They are not cheap. $400 for the A-arms and $440 for the spindles. Plus you'll need some other parts, like ball joints. You basically are going to have to disassemble the entire front suspension and steering linkage to install these parts. MagnumForce

You can turn down the torsion bars for up to a 2" drop without having a huge negative impact on suspension travel nor ability to align the car for about 30 minutes worth of time. you can get more drop out of t than that, but you may have trouble aligning it or your suspension travel will suffer. You can achieve the same 2" drop for $500 on drop spindles, spend an entire weekend taking it apart and putting it back together and then another $50-75 for an alignment by a tech that may or may not know how to adjust it correctly. Of course you will not sacrifice any suspension travel this way.
