I HAD USED 3 DIFERENT BRANDS OF RUBBER REAR MAIN SEALS AND LOTS OF BLUE,ORANGE,BLACK SILICONE ALL LEAKED, BAD. I SWITCHED TO AN OLD 413 ROAP SEAL KIT AND GREY SILICONE. IT IS PERFECTLY DRY. I FINALY GOT IT TO TEST N TUNE, IT DID A 12.5 AT 112 IN 1/4. I SWAPPED MY 391 POSI TO A 430 SPOOL, TOOK MY TIMING TO 34*, REMOVED MY PIPES, AND UPPED MY OCTANE TO 105. I SHOULD SEE 12.0 I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR CARING AND HELPFUL ADVICE. MARK.

mark.. i know you had a weird problem...
but to fill in the thread... i was reading somewhere on the web.. about PCV testing... and is seems... that incorrect PCV pressures in the crank case can result in short crank and cam seals life... to much of vacuum or pressure causes the lip seal to be pushed too hard against the crank surface.... this prevents any lube from getting into /onto the wear surface.. and the rubber sealing edge melts.. resulting in a leaking seal...
