i started with a original stock good running 400 mopar , in my 40 willys2 dr sdn replace all gaskets, valve seals head gaskets u name it every thing ! put it back in my car all stock except torker manifold 750 demon vac secondarys bolck hugger headers runs great cool 180 @ 100 degree day in fl. , next after 1000miles i bought m/p dist, orange box ballast &coil with tan cap& rotor new msd wires autolite plugs @035 gap 12degees base 34degres mech advance@ 2500  52 total@4500 so i decided to buy comp cams 275 dual energy hyd flat tappit cam,lifters, springs retainers, pushrods, 1.5 roller rockers, pete jackson gear drive i installed cam straight up or dot to dot with stock valve springs &rockers & comp cams push rods to break it it all is well at this point! so now i put new valve springs &retainers run it 500 miles all is well temp 180 nice choppy idle im thrilled as advertised! now i add roller rockers adj valves in firing order on compression stroke take all up&down slack from push rods then adjust additional 1/2 turn lockem down go to start bend 4 push rods! so i ck lenth with my stock 1s the same buy another set adjust crank over no ignition as valve closes push rods r loose so i say heck with it put stock rocker shafts on no problem must be me installing them wrong (im ase master certified ) we all mess up or breack things ! runn car down road its a pig! now it has a stock convertor 355 surgrip with 29 inch tall tires .my calculation tells me 308 final drive !& it over heats in traffic 220 230 so i buy griffen cross flow alum rad 2 core 1 inch tubes 15 inch puller 1550 cfm fan with stock 13inch clutch fan &shroud 160stat 18 lbs cap &disttiled water & water wetter in traffic overheats so i buy mopar alum water pump &housing run it same thing probe rad for hydrocarbin with 4 gas analyzer none pressure test 1 lbs drob in 15 min at 15 lbs im at my end ! shoulda stayed with sb ford !thats what i know well but wanted bb mopar they rule with torque all but mine!please help thanks brian

Sounds like you did more than bend some push rods. I know when ever I bent a pushrod [once] I bent a valve as well. I would do a compression test. If you have a low cyl. or cylinders, this can lead to over heating and a very lazy motor.
Since you are a tech I am sure you know what has to be done if this is the case. Rip the heads off and install valves as necessary. Be sure to check the heads over close for any other damage especially since you are running the engine at 230.
Also be sure to run hardened exhaust seats on the exhaust side, other wise the seats will crack due to the unleaded fuels used today.
