Transmission oil change?

Hi there,
Could anyone pls tell me how to change transmission oil on Barracuda 1967. It is manual, 3 speeds.
I tried to find the oil dipstick but couldnt find it.

There is no dipstick. You will need to suck out the fluid from the fill hole. There are many ways but the easy way is to go to your local auto supply store and buy a tool that can fill as well as remove fluid. Doc

hi, you might try removing the bottom extension housing bolt, but i can't remember if it's a blind hole or not. other wise you'll have to do what doc said. those old units usually used atf.

Honest, I can't remember but I was always under the impression it was a gear oil like what you use in a rear end. Either way double check with your local trans. shop and use a synthetic oil likely a 70w90 would be a good bet.

You must use ATF. These syncro's don,t like gear oil. They are designed for ATF and do not push the gear oil out fast enough, causing hard shifting. Don
