Yeah... coolest thing ever saw, and since I've been wanting to build a rod forever... and have time on a cycle too (that my back will not handle now) the V8 powered long wheelbase Trike with full seats has bit me big time... into full research now. Besides there is not much my shop can't build.
I sat in the seat of one a gentleman near here built and I spotted at a gas station the other day... introduced myself AND yeah, I got bit. I'd post the picture he took of me on it. Yes... with a 4 ft smile, no doubt about it! But everything I've seen so far on the net has been built around the GM small block. Yeah, they're a tough engine, but sorry Chevy fans... I've been Mopar all my life (I'm 56 now)... so yea... its has to run a Mopar drive line. No options, just the way it has to be! Likely a 360 block... but I'm considering the old late 50s 331 or so too... or maybe the 383/440 big blocks... just because they are different. 2.5 seconds 0-60 yeah!!! Less seconds if one gets real serious. I saw a 1.6 second 0-60 and 211 mph 1/4 mile advertised... but that's was 800+ hp. Not sure I'm THAT crazy yet... but I'm working on it!
Since I'm at 7500 ft ASL... I'm thinking a supercharger. But its has to sit up in place of the stock manifold to do a "hanging from the frame" engine installation (front hanging plates mount to the front of the heads). Its needs to be a tight, narrow, supercharger install... or it will be in the way of the main frame.
So, whose small (not the 6-71 or something...just a little one) "on-top-of-the-engine supers" were/are built for the Chrysler products? Anyone know where to look? I'll be be building to the 425 to 450 hp range (maybe not the 331, but the 360 and the old B blocks can do that pretty easy I think). Likely all I can afford anyway.
Thanks, Dave

Never seen a S/C kit for a 340/360 that used one of the modern, small blowers. Probably not much of a market for it, really. Anyways, good luck with your trike!

I don't know why there wouldn't be some demand... there are millions Chrysler LA and A blocks out there since the mid 60s... seems like a natural to me...
The blowers exist for the GM and Fords... only thing it needs is the manifold casting under it and the front drive assemblies... time to start casting gentlemen. I'll have to searching for the manufactures.
If any of you do know any of these manufacturer names... let me know. Thanks.
