Hey there, fellow Mopar meddlers. Just bought this 73 Duster and dragged it out of a field a few weeks ago.  I spent the first few days vacuuming mice feces from the interior and scrubbing every thing I saw with disinfectant.  After finding the feces I assumed (correctly) that my furry friends left me with a considerable wiring mess.  Conjoined with my own ignorance of automotive electrical systems, the wire insulation buffet has proven to be of some significance.  That said, I have made some minor progressions forward and have been able to turn the motor over by bypassing the ignition switch.  While glad to see the engine turn over, I was not incredibly pleased to find I have no spark... Still working that one out.

The car originally came with the slant six, bench seat, and a pitiful 7-1/4" rear dif.  At some point (a freaking long time ago) someone change the K member, put in the 318 out of a 72 Dart (I think), and a 904 tranny.  The front bench seat was removed and bucket seats from a Cadillac were placed (not installed) in the car.

My eventual goal is to build a 12-ish second car in the 1/4 mile, but still keep the car streetable (road trip worthy).  This goal is subject to cash flow and time constraints, so keeping up with my progress should be a simple task if anyone cares to follow.  For now, I would love to hear your thoughts and advice on reviving a car that has sat in a field for a few years without running and any other comments anyone might add to the posting.

I have pictures of the car downloaded on my computer but do not know how to post them in this section.  Any tips would also be appreciated.
