1979 Dodge Aspen vinyl roof side panels

Hi,
I have a 1979 Dodge Aspen with a vinyl roof and I removed the vinyl because there was rust underneath. I've also removed the side panels with the small windows for the same reason. There was seams sealer from the factory to fill the small gap between the panels and the body. What kind of seam sealer should I use to replace the factory sealer? Brushable seam sealer or seam sealer in tube? and what brand is better?
