Right here goes This motor I have is very factory fresh as it was taken out of a friends 1998 Dakota r/t which had only done 3000 miles before it had a dashboard fire and righting the vechicle off. As you know these had EFI this has been taken off and replaced with a crosswind airgap style inlet and a Mallory unilight dizzy has also been fitted I have some PaceSetter Performance headers these have 1.3/4 primarys. the motor internals are remaining stock as its so fresh and being fitted to a small car but I would like to know what size carb I will need ?(Please note that this is just a steet car with no planed trips to the strip) Im looking at getting an edelbrock carb and what is the expected HP for the motor in this state of tune ?
Many Thanks

The '98 5.9L Magnum was rated at 250 HP from the factory. I doubt if changing to a carb will either increase or decrease horsepower. The headers and a no-cat exhaust will give you a little HP. I'd put a 700-750 CFM carb on it. Good luck with it!
