I was very pleased to read the biographical article on Jake King in the June 2009 issue of Mopar Muscle. The article, I feel, was very appropriate. He never got the credit he deserved as one of the prime movers that put Mopar performance on the map during the 1960's and 70's. The Sox & Martin team cars were almost always quicker and faster than the rest of the Mopar contingent and Jake's mechanical insights were largely responsible for that performance edge.
I would like to see a follow up article dealing with the technical contributions he made to Mopar engine and chassis technology during his career with S&M. How about it Mopar Muscle?

Mopar Muscle did a great job with the Jake King article. He was the 3rd part of the Sox and Martin team. I personally took the article and showed it to Virginia, his widow. She was overcome with emotion. WAY TO GO RANDY !!!!!!!!!!!!

Herb, Thanks for the kind words. I was hoping that I did Jake's story justice, and since you got to spend a lot of time with him and felt I did good, that's good enough for me.
