I just bought a 67 Satellite (GTX Clone) and I want to convert the front drums to disc. I currenly have power brakes and 14 x 7 inch rims on the front. There are so many kits out there that range in price from $400 to $2000. I'm wondering exactly what I need? A lot of the kits come with the brake booster, proportioning valve and master cyclinder, but do I need that if I already have power brakes? I think I will stillneed the proportioning valve. Do I just buy a kit that comes without the booster and master?

Thanks,

Brian

As far as the booster, you should be fine with keeping yours. A lot of times, the master cylinder is different between drum and disc brake cars, so I would definitely change the master cylinder with the kit.

Some people are like Slinkys; they're not very useful, but fun to watch when pushed down the stairs.
