when i have the car sits for a while the carb dries up and it's hard to start,
and when i drive it and then stop for 10 to 15 min. i smell fuel.
i was thinking of an electric fuel pump. any help out there

you should find the source of the fuel leak, fix it and then see if you need an electic pump.
