I've got a 1970 dodge dart that I'm working on, I currently have a 1974 318 with a 3 speed auto that I'm going to drop into it. I want to swap the 3 peed for a 4 speed manuel, being a new to this area I don't know how to begin. Its a A-Body and I believe I need a A833 manuel tranny, but I'm not sure seeing that the ones I find are for slant 6's.

I would suggest contacting a parts vendor like tonysparts.com or stephensperformance.com They will have everything you need.
You'll need; Bellhousing flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing (I would use new here)
Pilot bushing Clutch and brake pedal clutch linkage transmission shifter shifter linkage floor hump drive shaft

Some people are like Slinkys; they're not very useful, but fun to watch when pushed down the stairs.

The floor hump is the formed piece of sheet metal that covers the hole made for the transmission linkage and shifter. The three speed driveshaft-yoke will be way too small to fit in the four speed. Not only that, but the driveshaft is a small diameter and not very strong. I would find one from another car.

is the floor hump the hump in the middle between the driver and passenger seat? Ok so I'll look for another drive shaft. Where would be a good place to sell my auto, its worth money its in good shape and low miles and I have no need for it.

the hump rbolig talks about is welded to the floor on the driver side of the trans tunnel. it gives more clearance for the shifter and linkage. it also gives a flat surface to mount the boot to. as far as the 904 goes, you'll probally have to pay someone to haul it away.

they should, but check that they are not the o/d type and where the shifter adapter bolts. b-body is over the speedo housing, e-body is at the rear by the seal and a-body is in the middle.
