a better choice would be a 360, more cubes more power potential, than the 318 without all complications of swap to big block. if this is to be street driven, computer and emission equipment, must be retained for most state inspection programs. any swap can be done. only limitations are size of you wallet if sent out to shop,or skill level if is to be diy project.

thanks for the insight. i've grown up on chevy and now that i've got a mopar i'm havin to learn all over again. luckily where i live we dont have emissions testing so i don't have to maintain emissions equipment. i'm wanting somethin that can get me back and forth, haul demo derby cars, and still be able ta go to the strip every now and then. the thought of the 440 was mainly b/c it was so readily obtainable via a good friend of mine.
