stumbled across a 1976 slant 6 3 speed manual baby blue volare, $500, so I bought it. some work needs to be done but it runs. I am the second owner. was in Yakima for a car/truck show and a friend said that when I am up there go to his dads house because he wants to get rid of this "POS" first taker $500. I did research on the car approx 1800 of these rolled in that format. so parts are HARD to find, rough body, some rust in the corner panel rear wheels area. door hinge needs to be replaced, heard I can drill out the pin and drop in a 7/16 in bolt and is it ok? can that be done? also a cracked windshield, found one for $239 is it worth it, is there a place I can get one cheaper? and SEATS, the ones in there are crap and I need bucket seats, whats the swap from car to car and body style because the bench has to go! have had the car for 5 days now and have had two offers on the car, this tells me to hang on to it. ANY help would be great, have pics will post. from Spokane Wa.

Finding for parts for an F-Body is not an easy task. Please don't use a 7/16 inch bolt for the hinge. Your local NAPA store will have door hinge repair kits. $239 for a good windshield doesn't sound too bad, but it doesn't sound that great either. I take it it's a new one.
Before you get too carriewd away, check with Dessert Valley Auto Parts (www.dvap.com); they are a recycling yard (a.k.a. Junk yard) that deals in older cars.
Sometimes you just gotta say...
