Can anyone tell me how much a 440 complete weighs? I need to store one on a stand that has a max capacity of 1,000 lbs. Is it safe to put this engine on this stand?

Oh, yeah-mid 600 lb. range.

If its a later model 440 like a 1978 it probably weighs closer to 700 lbs complete.
My experience with engine stands are that they are over rated. I had a small block on a stand for a couple of mths. It was rated for 750 lbs. Obviously the small block weighed no were near that. I ended up reinforcing the stand at the base with angle iron.
